The Kitchen Installation Process
Before We Start
We’ll need you to clear your kitchen of all personal items so we can get started as soon as we arrive.
Week 1 – Out with the Old…
Most kitchen installations begin on a Monday morning at 9am. It is at this point that we require the outstanding balance minus the agreed final payment (to be paid on completion of the kitchen installation).
On the first day our team will begin removing your old kitchen and clearing the room out. They will then isolate the water supply – using isolator valves where necessary, and turn the water back on.
On the first day they will also arrange the best time to arrive each day thereafter.
During the first week your old floor and tiles are removed and any building work or moving of outlets will be done. After this, the plastering of the walls and ceilings will be carried out by our plasterer.
It is during the first week that we will also install your new floor, whether you choose a vinyl or tiled floor.
Week 2 – …In with the New
The second week is when we begin to fit your new kitchen. By this point we should have all your new appliances, cabinets and fittings delivered and stored in your soon-to-be new dream kitchen.
We start with getting your cabinets installed to get the framework for everything else in it’s rightful place, including your new laminate splash-backs and tiles.
Next, we install your appliances and sink(s) so they fit flush with your cabinets and worktops. Once all in place, these are secured in place ready for the doors.
We hang all our doors and drawer fronts to fit perfectly flush with each other for a seamless look. Our team has decades of experience in kitchen fitting, and this is one of the key areas that make or break the overall visual aesthetic of a beautiful kitchen.
You can be sure, we won’t leave until you’re 100% happy.
Once all the doors are hung and appliances fitted, we send in our electrician to wire everything up and fit your new power outlets.
Then it’s over to our plumber to plumb your new taps and sinks into the mains.
After that, it’s the finishing touches of seals and paint, and your kitchen is done!
We’ll give the kitchen a good tidy up before we take final payment and leave you to enjoy your new dream kitchen… just avoid getting any new sealant wet for at least 24 hours.
